The News is All Fake, Gotta Get a Grip
“Cogito ergo sum” is a Latin philosophical proposition by René Descartes, written in the 17th century and usually translated into English as “I think, therefore I am”. Descartes struggled with a problem that is now called “the problem of knowing”. The brain is easy to fool, so how do we know our perceptions of reality are real and not illusions; in fact, how do we know we exist at all? Descartes’ answer was “I think, therefore I am.” The actual act of thinking is the one thing we cannot fake, whatever we’re thinking about and proves we are real and exist, regardless of any other factors.
Fake News - Cogito Munch
What a timely thought, as the world becomes noisier, controlling and increasingly fake. How to retain our sanity, our moral compass? How not to Munch on what is Fake and go mad? The answer is to keep thinking, searching for facts and thinking logically. The more we think the more we exist and conversely, the less we think the more susceptible we will be to Fake News. Don’t be driven mad by Fake News. Continue to Think.
